Datadog and the Chef Partner Cookbook Program

I’m delighted to announce that Datadog is now part of the Chef Partner Cookbook Program. Datadog is a monitoring and analytics platform for cloud-scale infrastructure.

Combining metrics and events from servers, databases, applications, configuration management tools, and more, Datadog provides a unified view of system health and performance. With advanced visualization, alerting, and collaboration features, Datadog enables engineering teams to resolve performance problems quickly and avoid downtime.

Datadog allows you to:

  • Monitor more than 100 widely used infrastructure technologies via vendor-supported integrations
  • Automatically track new hosts or containers as they come online
  • Correlate Chef-managed changes with events and metrics from other systems
  • Report on successes and failures in your Chef runs, time to completion, as well as frequency of resource changes

The Chef Partner Cookbook Program is a collaboration between Chef and the vendor to help validate cookbooks in our public supermarket.

Congratulations to Datadog!
