Opscode hires Todd Feinroth as Chief Revenue Officer & Jay Wampold As Director of Marketing And Communications

Opscode Expands Leadership Team to Serve Rapidly Growing Market for Infrastructure Automation

SEATTLE, Jan. 26, 2011 Opscode, Inc., the leader in infrastructure automation, today announced that Todd Feinroth has joined Opscode as Chief Revenue Officer. Mr. Feinroth, who brings more than 15 years of enterprise sales leadership experience to Opscode, will develop and execute Opscode’s multi-channel revenue strategy, including direct sales, strategic alliances, professional services and support. Opscode also today announced the appointment of Jay Wampold as Director of Marketing and Communications. Both of these appointments come during a period of rapid growth and adoption of the Opscode Platform, the industry’s first hosted service for configuration management and infrastructure automation.

Mr. Feinroth most recently served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Alliances for Edifecs, a privately held Healthcare IT company that develops software solutions to improve efficiencies in the healthcare value chain. Prior to Edifecs, Mr. Feinroth was a key member of Opsware’s direct sales organization and was responsible for selling data center automation solutions to Fortune 1000 companies. HP acquired Opsware in 2007 for $1.6 billion. Mr. Feinroth previously led sales and launched the enterprise sales strategy for Rendition Networks, which was acquired by Opsware in 2005.

Mr. Wampold joins Opscode to lead outbound marketing and communications. Mr. Wampold previously served as Senior Director of Marketing and Communications for Isilon Systems, which was recently acquired by EMC Corporation for more than two billion dollars. At Isilon, Mr. Wampold led outbound marketing and was instrumental in creating the scale-out storage market and played a key role in the company’s successful IPO. Prior to Isilon, Mr. Wampold was a Partner and Senior Vice President of New York-based SS+K Communications, where he ran the agency’s technology practice. Prior to SS+K, Mr. Wampold was Director of Communications for RealNetworks, where he served a key role in creating and leading the Internet media delivery market, and also helped guide the company through its IPO.
