Congratulations to our 2019 Customers of the Year!

Every year at ChefConf, we award customers for the incredible work they have done in their organization, making an impact that contributes to the overall outcomes of their businesses. The customers are nominated by the Chef teams that work closely with these organizations daily.

We recognize customers with awards in two categories:

Automating Any App, Anywhere

Automating Any App, Anywhere is awarded to teams creating one way to deliver apps to customers everywhere. They excel at building, deploying, and managing app portfolios – from COTS to Cloud Native – with consistent packaging and workflows, whatever the target environment. Last year, Alaska Airlines won for using Chef Habitat to build applications in one consistent way and deploy to multiple data centers as needed. This year at ChefConf, Ford Motor Company received the Automating Any App, Anywhere award for reducing provisioning from weeks to hours, modernizing legacy applications, and addressing compliance risk using the full Enterprise Automation Stack.

Automating Effortless Infrastructure

Automating Effortless Infrastructure is awarded to teams who provide effortless, immediate, scalable, and secure infrastructure for the business to deliver new value. These teams excel at detecting, correcting, and automating infrastructure issues: from provisioning to compliance.

Last year, IBM IGA won for being able to assess their compliance posture across their global infrastructure from a single view, moving from manual, operator driven, quarterly audits to automated, weekly audits. This year, Jack Henry Associates received the award for deploying Chef InSpec and compliance widely in their environment to drive a consistent compliance state across their fleet. Their work and success is changing the way audits and compliance are done company-wide.

Congrats to our winners and thanks to everyone who made it to ChefConf this year. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at ChefConf 2020 in Seattle, June 1st – 4th!
