ChefConf 2019 is coming home to Seattle!

Any time there is a televised sporting event in Seattle you can be certain that you will see someone throwing a fish, you will hear about coffee, they will show you the Space Needle, and they will go to commercial playing hits by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or Soundgarden.

And we love it. This is our home. Those are our landmarks, our drinks, and our jams!

We are very proud of our heritage here in Seattle, and we want to share it with you. That is why, to paraphrase Ozzy: ChefConf 2019 is coming home!

Join us from May 20 through 23rd, 2019 to see why ChefConf is one of the DevOps community’s most important conferences. ChefConf is a week of learning from some of the industries most respected leaders, networking with DevOps professionals from all levels and all industries, and of course the fun events that ChefConf is known for.

And if you register before March, you can get a pass to ChefConf 2019 at the Early Bird rate of $695.00!

Learning

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin

The number one reason we all gather is to learn. We want to hear from others that have had similar problems and find out how they solved them.

In previous years, ChefConf has included keynotes from leaders like Sue Taylor from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Kelsey Hightower from Google, and Carmen Krueger from SAP NS2, discussing their view of the industry and how their teams use DevOps to automate their application, infrastructure, and compliance processes. You can view previous years’ speakers here.

And there are a lot of other opportunities to gather to learn. With over 70 breakout sessions led by industry peers, a full day of workshops and hands on learning, and even the opportunity to take a Chef certification prep course, you will spend the entire week not just being taught, but being involved.

Networking

Let’s be honest: we all want to make connections will like-minded people. At ChefConf 2019, you have the opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the community from all industries and job levels.

In 2018, attendees included C-Levels, VPs, Directors, Architects, Engineers, and Sys Admins from companies like Alaska Airlines, Facebook, Oracle, Target, and MasterCard. No matter what industry you are in, ChefConf will put you in a room with someone that has similar DevOps challenges – and maybe even some interesting ways to solve them.

Fun

We can’t talk about ChefConf without mentioning the fun extra-curricular activities to be had! Meet other attendees at the welcome reception, try some local fair at the happy hour, get competitive at game night, dance to local musicians at the community celebration, and maybe…just maybe…. See Chef CTO and Co-founder Adam Jacob in KISS makeup. No promises here, but it HAS happened before).

We are excited to be hosting ChefConf in Seattle in 2019, and we look forward to seeing you!
