It’s been almost a full year since we announced AWS OpsWorks for Chef Automate – a native AWS service that provides Chef Automate and Chef Server managed by Amazon. In that time, we’ve found that customers love how quick it is to get started and how easy it is to maintain.

Today we’re announcing that OpsWorks for Chef Automate has been updated to include all of the latest features from Chef. There have been lots of recent improvements to Chef Automate that I’m sure will excite – notifications, Policyfile views, Chef DK 2.0 support, better options for data management, and more.

The great news is you can now automate compliance with OpsWorks for Chef Automate. You simply deploy the audit cookbook to your nodes in OpsWorks and define which profiles to use. This will run InSpec compliance scans on the nodes via Chef client and report results back to Chef Automate. The OpsWorks for Chef Automate subscription includes a collection of profiles, including many based on the Center for Internet Security benchmarks.
