Apply for a ChefConf 2015 Diversity Scholarship by March 13

We believe that diversity is critical in building a healthy community. One of our core goals is to help address the lack of diversity in attendees at ChefConf. What do we mean by diversity? Ashe Dryden wrote up an excellent blog post following a series of hangouts she held on diversity.

We recognize that one barrier to attending conferences is that people may not have the privilege of working at a job that affords them conference attendance. To that end, we are announcing 10 scholarship tickets to the Intro to Chef workshop and ChefConf which includes all the keynote sessions, track sessions, meals, and social activities. These tickets will not cover travel or lodging.

We will also have a Conference Liaison who can assist you onsite.

To apply for the Chef Conference Scholarship please email us at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Name
  • Contact Information
  • Background
  • Why you want to attend ChefConf
  • Confirmation that you can attend ChefConf in Santa Clara, CA from March 31 until April 2, 2015.

The committee making the selections for the scholarships is made up of a diverse group of Chef employees. We will notify applicants no later than March 20, 2015. This committee will make determination on the recipients at its sole discretion.
