Announcing Chef Automate Managed Service for Azure

Today at Microsoft Ignite we announced the limited Public Preview of a new Chef service, Chef Automate Managed Service for Azure. This is a fully-managed instance of Chef Automate that runs in your Azure tenant, leveraging Azure Managed Services. What you get is easy deployment, zero maintenance, automatic upgrades, as well as backups of your Chef data.

Chef Automate Managed Service preview

The deployment is a standard Chef Automate 2.0 instance including Chef Server. In as little as 30 minutes you can have your own Chef Automate instance on Azure so you can start automating the infrastructure that drives your business, without learning how to manage more software. Whether it’s infrastructure as code or compliance as code, you can quickly get started with Chef Automate Managed Service for Azure. And when combined with Chef Workstation in Azure Cloud Shell, you can manage your continuous automation workflow right from your browser!

Apply to participate in the public preview

Starting today we’re inviting customers to sign up for the limited Public Preview by visiting https://chef.io/automate-for-azure/. Once you’ve submitted your request, we’ll contact you to inform you when you’ve been added to the Public Preview. You’ll also receive setup instructions showing you how to deploy your Automate Instance from the Azure Portal.
